@ApolloBrown - Thirty Eight (Beat Tape)

Today Apollo Brown releases his newest instrumental journey, a ride through early 80s Detroit, the sound caught somewhere in the transition between heroin & crack.  The album is a technicolor ride through pool halls and back alleys, in a city wrapped in the throws of early decline and day prostitution. The new instrumental album is 20 cuts deep with all the crackle, resonant warmth, and incredible instrumentation you've come to expect from Detroit's best producer, Apollo Brown.  Shout to Complex who debuted the album stream this morning. After you listen be sure to pick the album up at any digital spot today (the CD with bonus 5" vinyl & 180 gram Vinyl versions will be released next week).

@Keith_Science - Hypothalamus (Beat Tape)

Influenced heavily by hip-hop’s golden age, New Jersey native and lifetime musician Keith Science has been making beats the right way since 1992.  Focusing on the artistry of creative beat-making and elevating the magic craft of sampling, Keith Science productions quickly separate themselves from the rest of the pack.  Real boom bap is the focus here, and you’ll be immediately captivated by the grimy trance-inducing vibes mixed on Keith’s old analog recording console.

New Jersey's true-school master, Keith Science, is back with another collection of grimy underground boom bap experiments for all of you hip-hop purists out there. Unlike most questionable productions from today's hip-hop scene, Hypothalamus is a demonstration of sampling excellence, and is Keith's most complete composition to date. Available as digital download, or on CD or 12" Vinyl LP! Each CD or vinyl purchase includes a free digital download of the entire album
