Frankenstein, Canada's best producer on the mic, first stepped on the scene in 1994 with his partner AZ (as the duo Delphi Oracle) to release their 12" single "Peace And Quiet" on Frankie's own Knowledge of Self label imprint. After going solo and dropping underground classics like "The Pain", "Rain Is Gone", and "What Does It All Mean", Frankenstein released his much sought after and critically acclaimed debut full-length "UV" in 1997.
Besides putting out his own releases, the Toronto underground icon recorded, mixed, remixed and mastered countless tracks for artists like Choclair, Maestro Fresh Wes, Peanut Butter Wolf, Lord Tariq & Peter Gunz, T-Love, Thrust, etc. before he decided to bring his career to an abrupt end in the year 2000.
Completely re-mastered by Duncan Stanbury (Big L "Big Picture", Jay-Z "Reasonable Doubt", etc.), "The Science of Sound" is not only a 20-track strong compilation containing the entire Frankenstein 12" single catalogue and some rare tracks, but also includes the full "UV" album plus two previously unreleased joints taken off the original Delphi Oracle demo tape from 1994 (available on vinyl in May).
